1. Our eyes only detect light, so anything that you can see must reflect some light 2. Light must reflect off an object to be seen
B. You cannot see light without objects
The photo on the left shows the light reflecting off water droplets in the fog. If there were no fog, you would not see the light until it reflected off the grass.
You can also see light if you are looking directly at the light source (of course!)
